Rachel Kye

Mezzo-soprano, hails from Granada Hills, California. She has extensive experience in both ensemble and solo work. Starting at a very young age, she has been involved in choirs and private musical training. She attended APU School of Music where she studied voice and piano. She also participated in many productions with APU Opera.
As a soloist with APU Opera, she has sung the role of Clarina in Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio, Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Dorabella in Mozart’s Così Fan TuttePoppea in Händel’s Agrippina.
She is currently under the tutelage of Dr. Deanna Murray, DMA, professor of vocal studies at California State University Northridge. This past year, she has also been a part of Pasadena City College Opera and keeps a busy teaching schedule in the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valley.
