Crystal Lin – Ph.D., MTAC
Dr. Pin-Hsin Lin (Crystal) wants her students to enjoy music and learn the skill of piano playing. She helps them to prepare graded piano examinations for CM (MTAC) and ABRSM.
Crystal grew up in Kaohsiung and Taipei, Taiwan, and holds degrees from UCLA in composition (Ph.D), Peabody Institute of The John Hopkins University (M.M.), and Roosevelt University (B.M.). She speaks fluent English and Chinese.
Her works have been performed by various professional groups such as the American Composers Orchestra, Peabody Symphony Orchestra, St. Magnus Chamber Emsemble (Orkney, Scottland), Trio Capriccio (AZ), Bard Chamber Orchestra (New York), and University of Illinois Percussion Ensemble.
Bilinda Lou- M.M., MTAC
Bilinda grew up in Macau where she started her first piano lesson at the age of five, and percussion at the age of twelve. She is currently enrolled in the artist certificate program at Azusa Pacific University, studying solo and chamber music with Dr. Eugene Alcalay. In 2015, Bilinda finished her master degree in piano performance at University of Colorado, Boulder with Prof. Doris Lehnert. She has performed in Vienna, Salzburg, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and China. Past attended summer music festivals include Masterworks, Brevard, and Rocky Ridge. Bilinda enjoys teaching, playing solos and chamber music, as well as accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists. She is also an active church pianist and choir accompanist. Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Eve Chen – B.A., MTAC
Ms. Eve Chen first started piano lesson at the age of five at the Yamaha Music School in Taiwan where she began to develop her passion for music. Eve graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano. She speaks fluent English and Chinese.
Eve has been quite successful in piano competitions while at school, awards include Honor Award at Performance Scholarship Competition of Old Town Music for Piano, and first place at the Seventh Anuual Piano Ensemble Festival of Fullerton College.
Angela Liu – B.A., MTAC
Born in Taiwan, pianist Angela graduated from the Soochow University of Taiwan, and Tainan Woman’s college of the arts. Miss Liu played full time with the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan (NSO) for 20 some years before coming to Los Angeles. Needless to say, she has performed in most major cities in the world with orchestra, in small ensembles, and as a soloist. Currently, Angela enjoys teaching piano, violin and viola, and performs regularly with the Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena.
